By creating an account or using Relict, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Relict is a personal and operational workspace for contacts, organizations, inventory, forms, and portable user-owned data.
Account registration
You must provide accurate registration information, keep your email address current, and protect your password. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Relict requires email verification before sign-in and uses multi-factor authentication for account access.
User responsibility
You are responsible for the records you create, the people you invite, the files you upload, and the accuracy of information stored in your workspace. Do not use Relict to store or share information you are not allowed to handle.
Organizations
Relict allows users to create or join organizations. Organization membership, sharing, and operational features are controlled by organization settings and the permissions granted to members. Joining an organization does not grant Relict permission to send you SMS messages.
Organization administrators
Organization owners and administrators are responsible for managing members, roles, sharing, and organization-level settings. Administrators should grant only the access needed for each member’s work.
User-created and stored data
You retain your rights in the content you submit to Relict. Relict stores that content to operate the service, including backups and portable Relict Data File exports you request. Sharing a record with an organization makes that record visible according to the sharing rules you or the organization configure.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse Relict, attempt to access another user’s account or data, disrupt the service, upload malicious files, send unsolicited promotional messages through Relict, or use the service for unlawful purposes. Relict account SMS, when enabled, may be used only for the transactional and service messages described in these terms.
Service availability
Relict is provided as-is and may change, be interrupted, or be unavailable from time to time. Features such as SMS, billing, or optional AI tools may be inactive until the required provider configuration is supplied.
Intellectual property
Relict’s name, branding, software, and documentation remain the property of Relict. You may not copy or reuse Relict’s software or branding except as needed to use the service.
Third-party services
Relict may rely on hosting, email, billing, optional AI, and messaging providers. Those providers have their own terms. Relict is not responsible for outages or acts of third-party services beyond Relict’s control.
Account suspension or termination
Relict may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, present a security risk, or are used in a way that could harm other users or the service. You may stop using Relict at any time.
SMS Terms
When SMS functionality is enabled, Relict may send transactional or informational SMS messages relating to:
- Authentication
- Multifactor authentication
- Account security
- Account maintenance
- Service notifications
- Organization/platform notifications requested or enabled by the user
Message frequency varies.
Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to opt out of applicable SMS messages.
Reply HELP for assistance.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Consent to receive transactional/service SMS messages will not be used as consent for unrelated marketing messages.
SMS consent is optional and is not required to create or use a Relict account. Consent is collected through a separate, unchecked checkbox and is stored with your Relict account. Production SMS sending is not active until Relict enables an authorized SMS configuration. Relict does not send advertising or promotional SMS messages through this consent.
If you enable SMS authentication, you should keep another sign-in method available. Email verification remains available for Relict accounts. Opting out of service SMS messages does not automatically disable SMS authentication if that feature is turned on; you can manage SMS authentication in account settings.
Disclaimers
Relict is provided without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Relict does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of security incidents.
Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Relict is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-data damages arising from your use of the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, and in those places the limitation applies only to the extent allowed.
Changes to the service
Relict may add, change, or remove features, including optional SMS, billing, and organization tools.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms of Service. The updated date appears at the top of this page. Continued use of Relict after a change means the revised terms apply to later use of the service.
